It won’t be long before we see Kris Aquino return to television after her months-long hiatus.
After the so-called Queen of All Media has officially left long-time home network ABS-CBN, reports have surfaced that Kris will start working on her new show immediately after her vacation.

According to Gorgy Rula of Pep.ph, the TV host-actress’ show will be produced by APT Entertainment (which is owned by her new manager, Tony Tuviera) and will air on GMA.
Kris hinted that she will “resume taping” on Sep 22 in an Instagram post. Rula’s source did not confirm if Kris will indeed start taping on the said date, though he added GMA and APT Entertainment will start working on it soon.
And what will Kris’ first show on GMA be? Reports on this vary. Rula wrote it won’t be a talk show. Salve Asis of tabloid Pilipino Star Ngayon wrote that it will be a talk show.
Ed de Leon of tabloid Pang-Masa, meanwhile, reported that Kris’ show will be a Sunday game show. APT Entertainment also co-produces GMA’s variety show Sunday PinaSaya.
If you remember, Kris hosted several game shows for ABS-CBN, including Pilipinas, Game KNB?, Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, and local versions of The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. So a game show on GMA will definitely be in Kris’ wheelhouse.
What’s possibly more exciting: Asis and De Leon both reported Kris may also do a drama series for GMA with Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
This isn’t farfetched. Alden and Maine are mainstays in Eat Bulaga!, produced by Tuviera’s TAPE Inc. Maine, like Kris, is also managed by Tuviera.
Of course, Kris is keeping mum on the topic as she enjoys her Japan vacation with her two sons, Joshua and Bimby. But expect her to make headlines yet again upon her return. We can’t wait.
