The first Filipino to play Colonel Sanders for KFC is none other than veteran Filipino actor Ronaldo Valdez.
Ronaldo, in the iconic Colonel Sanders white suit and bow tie, took his oath as the colonel in the new commercial shared by KFC’s Facebook page.
“I, the Colonel do solemnly swear to fulfill my duties to the best of my ability. I promise to uphold the fresh, hand-breaded quality in each piece of KFC original recipe chicken. Because in KFC, all parts are created equal,” Ronaldo said in his KFC oath.
Penn Medina and Leo Martinez, the other actors who auditioned for the role but didn’t get it at least got to appear for a few seconds in the new commercial.
