The short answer is: yes. The K-pop girl group, famous for its hit song BBoom Bboom, is heading straight to Ilocos Sur in the Ilocos Region next month for a mini-concert.

For free.

Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Singson confirmed the show details in an Instagram post shared earlier today — the Baam singers will be performing at the Tamag Grounds in Vigan City.

Singson says in the post: “Boom-boom! This is the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Christmas. And they (Momoland) are here. The dream to see and watch them up close has become possible.”

Singson added that it was a special treat for the holidays.

Bombo Radyo reported that former Ilocos Sur governor Luis “Chavit” Singson, the father of Ryan, said in August that the South Korean girl group will return to the Philippines to explore other provinces in the country and to perform in front of Ilocano fans.

Last week, it was also announced that the group, composed of Lee Hye Bin, Yeonwoo, Jane Sung, Kim Taeha, Kim Nayun, Daisy Yoo, Joo E Lee, Lee Ahin, and Nancy Jewel McDonie, will head to Manila for a fan meet on Jan. 25, 2019.

This isn’t the first time the girl group will be in Manila. Filipino “merries” (AKA Momoland fans) were ecstatic when the girl group announced in June that they would visit the country during a Facebook Live session.

The same fans were mostly left disappointed, though, because the group only performed in a private event held at the Solaire Resort & Casino in August.

Fans thought they would get a second chance to see the group when it was announced that they would perform at the opening of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) tournament in August.

But, that didn’t pan out, either.

Momoland was a no-show and the host of the UAAP also deleted its initial announcements on social media. It was later discovered that Momoland couldn’t have made it for the UAAP opening because the group was already scheduled to perform at the HallyuPopFest in Singapore on the same day.

Whoops.

So, it looks like Momoland is finally putting in some long due face time here in the Philippines. Hooray for you, Vigan City.
