Just married: 10 wonderful celebrity weddings of 2016

No, this is not about who had a bigger and grander celebration. All the weddings were beautiful! Here’s a rundown of the celeb weddings which made us fall in love this year. Congratulations on finding your respective soulmates!

 

1. Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto

Bossing and Pauleen proved that age is just a number. They had a low-key, star-studded wedding attended by the couple’s Eat Bulaga! family and other colleagues from the industry. Pia Wutzbach, who is the bride’s close friend, was one of the bridesmaids! Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards were the offertory sponsors.

2. Cristine Reyes and Ali Khatibi

Cristine Reyes and Ali Khatibi tied the knot o in an intimate ceremony — with no entourage to speak of — at the Balesin spa in Balesin island, Quezon. The bride wore acrown of flowers in her hair and a simple knee-length, off-white, sleeveless dress. The small ceremony was attended by super select group of friends and family.

3. Cristalle Belo Henares and Justin Pitt

They had a  magical wedding ceremony held at Lake Como, Italy in Sept.  Only VVIPs were invited. Of course, among those who attended the wedding were Cristalle’s mother, Vicki Belo, with her life partner Hayden Kho and their daughter Scarlet Snow. Ruffa Gutierrez, Rajo Laurel, Tim Yap, and Phoemela Baranda were also present at the ceremonies.

4. Rufa Mae Quinto and Trevor Magallanes

Todo na ‘to, indeed. A very pretty and preggy Ruffa Mae Quinto tied the knot this year. She married Filipino-American business Trevor Magallanes in a very emotional wedding. Some of their celebrity guests include Joyce Jimenez, Aiko Melendez, Ai Ai delas Alas, and LJ Moreno.

5. Kaye Abad and Paul Jake 

Thy had a big wedding in Paul Jake’s hometown. The bride wore an exquisite backless gown by famous designer Francis Libiran. Kaye revealed that she plans to move to Cebu after the wedding because she wants to focus on building a family with Paul Jake.

6. Solenn Heusaff and Nico Bolzico

Solenn and Nico tied the knot at the Eglise Notre Dame in Combourg, France. As expected, Anne Curtis, Georgina Wilson, Lovi Poe, Rajo Laurel, Rhian Ramos, Isabelle Daza and Tim Yap were among the celebrities who attended. Nico looked dashing in his suit, don’t you think?

7. Karel Marquez and Sean Fariñas

Actress Karel Marquez married businessman Sean Fariñas after nearly four years of being a together. They had a pretty controversial wedding because the bride gave a BMW to the groom on their wedding day. Still, everything looked gorgeous. Their wedding video was overflowing with emotions. 

 

8. Georgina WIlson and Arthur Burnand

This gorgeous couple had a grand ceremony in St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winchester, United Kingdom, the groom’s hometown. The 30-year-old bride looked gorgeous in a Monique Lhuillier wedding gown. Celebrities Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff, Isabelle Daza, and Liz Uy were among Georgina’s bridesmaids.

9. Isabelle Daza and Adrien Semblat

Actress, host and model Isabelle Daza tied the knot  with French businessman Adrien Semblat. For her bachelorette party, Isabelle and her squad flew to Bali. With her are her sister, cousins and close celebrity friends Solenn Heussaff, Carla Humphries, Nicole Anderson and Raymond Gutierrez.

10. AlDub wedding

Okay, so this wasn’t a real wedding, but hey, it was one of the most kilig ones of the year! Maine and Alden’s characters in the afternoon show Eat Bulaga! got married, and the fans of the on-screen pair went wild with happiness. They had a cute photoshoot which can rival the pre-wedding photos of couples who really tied the knot. Think there’s a chance that they will really marry each other someday?
