It’s confirmed: the 2012 Miss Universe first runner-up just broke up with her boyfriend Jaypee Santos, she confirmed when she was a guest on “KrisTV” recently. The reason? A certain Danny O’Donoghue, the lead vocalist of the band The Script (famous for the songs “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” and “Breakeven”).
According to Janine, she and Jaypee are not in good terms. “May nangyari lang na hindi ko ini-expect na mangyayari,” she said. “Honestly po kasi break talaga kami ngayon.”

But she clarified that Danny’s not her boyfriend. Asked if she’s Danny’s type, she said, “Hindi naman sa type, we are talking lang. Pero ano naman yan, spur of the moment lang.”
She added, “Hindi naman kami ni Danny. Nagtetext siya everyday simula noong nag-concert siya dito.”
She narrated how she got to meet the vocalist when the band was here and she attended the meet-and-greet. She even brought her boyfriend. Actually, Danny asked her if she has a boyfriend, and she said yes, and then pointed at Jaypee.

They followed each other on Twitter, with Danny direct messaging her. This angered Jaypee, who believes that she shouldn’t have contacted the singerif she was really not interested. Janine shared that they argued because of this and that she eventually broke up with Jaypee.
Jaypee is trying to woo Janine back. We’ll find out very soon whether they will reconcile and get back together or Danny will replace Jaypee in the beauty queen’s life.
