The My Husband’s Lover star was a guest on StarTalk last Sunday, April 13, and she admitted that she and Geoff are no longer together. She said she was pretty hesitant to admit the breakup on TV but since they’re public figures and she feels like she owes it to the fans, she decided to announce it.
So what happened?
Carla explained that they are “two different people” and that they’re “too different.”
“We don’t share the same values. Mas madalas hindi kami nagkakasundo kesa sa nagkakasundo. So you know, mahirap kasi for me, it was the small things talaga eh. Small details, small things as compared to the grand gestures, grand anything. It was the small things that contributed to just one big thing. We were too different talaga. Mas nagka-clash pa kami kesa nagkakasundo kami.”
Carla also wanted to clarify that THERE WAS NO THIRD PARTY even if there was this rumor that Kylie Padilla and Geoff were getting a little too close.
The hardest part about the whole breakup, Carla shared, is how she had to break up with the family when she broke up with Geoff. “The Eigenmanns naman have welcomed me as part of the family since the beginning, hindi na ako iba sa kanila. They never treated me as an outsider.” Crying, she shared that she’s grateful to the Geoff’s family because everyone has been nice to her. “Sobrang grateful ako na, you know, I got to share three, four years of my life with them and I go to know them much better.”
