Julia Montes had a really hard time answering questions about Coco Martin during the press conference of her show Doble Kara recently.
Really hard, in fact, that it will make you wonder if something’s going on between the 21-year-old actress and the 34-year-old actor.
During the media gathering to promote the afternoon soap opera (which airs weekdays, after It’s Showtime), Julia was asked about former onscreen partner Coco Martin. The two have been rumored to be in a relationship since they worked together in the 2011 soap opera Walang Hanggan.
Years have passed and the rumors still have not died down.
“E, focus po muna ako…busy po kasi ako,” she said, trying to evade the question.
Here’s the juicy part. Asked why the rumors have persisted, Julia said: “Hindi po dapat babae ang sasagot… Saka yun nga, busy nga po ako.”
Julia still refused to elaborate about her answer in a separate interview with Coconuts Manila and other members of the press.
“Nakakaloka ang mga tanong,” the young actress quipped.
Julia added: “May communication pa rin naman po [kami ni Coco], hindi naman nawala ‘yon. Super iba lang ang communication namin ngayon.”
So should we take this as a clue about Julia and Coco’s status? And what’s with celebrities refusing to talk about their relationship status these days?
