Teen star Julia Barretto is still pushing with petition to change her surname Baldivia, father Dennis Padilla’s last name. This is despite their reconciliation in Julia’s eighteenth birthday last March 2015 and her statement last April 2015 that she would no longer drop Baldivia as her last name. According to an interview with ABS-CBNnews.com with Dennis Padilla, the petition is still active.
“Nung huli akong nagtanong kay Julia, sabi ko, ‘Julia, I heard na you are withdrawing the petition to change, to take off my family name.’ Sabi niya, ‘Pa, I’m sorry kasi I’m so busy, I haven’t talked to the lawyers hindi pa kami nakapag-meet.’
Dennis Padilla has two daughters with actress Marjorie Barretto, Julia and Claudia. He said he is still hoping everything will be fixed soon, and insisted that he and Julia are in good terms despite the petition and Julia even greeted him last Father’s Day.
