John Lloyd Cruz said he does not want to lose his friendship with ex-girlfriend Angelica Panginiban, several months after they have broken up — and week after they were rumored to have gotten back together.
“If anything, siyempre we don’t want to lose the friendship. Si Angelica has been my best friend and I think she will remain my best friend for life. Walang makakapagpabago noon (Nothing will change that),” the actor told ABS-CBN News Online on Tue, Dec 13 at the sidelines of the ABS-CBN Christmas Special at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

The two were even spotted together backstage during the show (which will air on ABS-CBN next week)! But no, John Lloyd does not want to entertain talks about the possibility of him reconciling with Angelica.
Right now, “it’s all about enlightenment” for John Lloyd.
“It’s all about new discoveries about yourself, your life… You only live once and I definitely want to make the most of it. Kung ano man ang pagdadaanan nating journey, it’s all going to be worth it for sure,” he said.

It’s not like John Lloyd and Angelica hiding their “friendship.” They were spotted together at a restaurant in Makati City last Oct. But in seperate occasions, the two denied getting back together.
In an interview last month, Angelica said that she’s happy and John Lloyd is happy — as individuals. And the two of them are proud they managed to become friends after their heartbreaking (for us, anyway) split.
“May struggle siyempre sa umpisa kung paano ma-maintain ‘yung friendship. Pero tulad nga ng sinabi natin, nagmahalan kayo dati. Bakit naman kailangang mauwi sa away?” she said.
(There struggles at first, of course, on how we can maintain the friendship. But you loved each other before. Why do you need to end up fighting?)
