In a photo taken by Kapuso actress Ai Ai delas Alas, former child wonder Jiro Manio was captured grinning and seemingly in a blissful mood.
“PRAISE GOD!!! Salamat LORD AT NAKILALA KA NA NI JIRO,” Ai Ai said.
In June, Jiro was famously found wandering the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, penniless. The Magnifico star was seen with scratches on his neck, wearing dirty clothes.
The Comedy Concert Queen, who had promised to help Jiro in any way, has been regularly updating fans about his condition. The CelebriTV host also pledged to facilitate a reunion between Jiro and his estranged Japanese father.
Earlier this month, Ai Ai managed to find Jiro’s dad, Yusuke Katakura, during a recent trip to Japan. And while Katakura refused to talk to Ai Ai, a certain Mr. Nakasawa, bridged the gap between the two camps.
Ai Ai, who realized the miscommunication issues between Jiro and his dad, has asked the 21-year old former actor to write a letter to his dad. Jiro also penned something for his foster father, Andrew Manio.
“Ayan nakangiti na sya. Atsaka pinasulat ko letter sa daddy nya sa Japan. And may sulat din sya Daddy Andrew nya,” Ai Ai shared.
