Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who is still detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center while being tried for plunder and graft in connection with the pork barrel scam, wants the Sandiganbayan has filed a request to leave for a few hours on Apr 2.
He wants to go to he Pinaglabanan Shrine in San Juan City so he can attend the proclamation rally of his daughter, Janella Ejercito Estrada, who is running for vice mayor.
“The senator said attending Janella’s proclamation rally is his ‘paternal duty and obligation,'” reports Carolyn Bonquin on ABS-CBNnews.com.
In the motion he filed before the Sandiganbayan, Estrada declared, “It is of no question that for a father — the path of his daughter’s civil service road is one of that needs to be seen, watched, guided, and assisted by her father.”
Well, let’s see what the Sandiganbayan has to say about that.
