The tryouts for the the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is a highly competitive process, and unfortunately, 2012 Miss Universe first runner-up Janine Tugonon didn’t make the cut.
Though the Pinay beauty was at the final casting call of the lingerie giant’s fashion show happening in Paris on Dec 5, she won’t be walking the runway alongside VSFS veterans Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio and Lily Aldridge.
“Sorry guys. Didn’t make it. Thank you though. Love you,” Tugonon wrote on Twitter.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is an annual event where the biggest names in the modelling industry strut their stuff on the runway to promote the American lingerie brand. The show attracts massive audience and can help skyrocket a model’s career.
“I flew to the US from Philippines with a dream. I wanted to aim higher, to be globally known and excellent in this industry (modeling and acting),” Tugonon earlier said in an ABS-CBN interview.
Tugonon earlier appeared in an ad for Victoria’s Secret Pink, a line that caters to women fresh out of college. More recently, she flew to the Dominican Republic as one of the calendar models of Nu Muses.
