Trust a mysterious quote to wire people in unimaginable ways!
On Instagram, James Reid posted a photo of him and his ka-love team Nadine Lustre watching the sunset. He accompanied it with a quote from the 2001 movie Waking Life.
“The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving. It saves on introductions and goodbyes,” begins his long-winded caption.
Everybody thought it had something to do with his career, but James says that’s a wrong reading.
On ABS-CBNnews.com, the young heartthrob explained that he was not talking about himself.
“Medyo malalim. It’s like, don’t limit your mind and don’t limit your imagination. No, [nothing personal]. Actually the fans always find a way to make a meaning. It’s just a pretty picture and an interesting quote.”
It is an interesting quote from the movie directed by Richard Linklater, of the Before series fame, if we may add.
Reid’s caption continues: “The ride does not require explanation — just occupants. That’s where you guys come in. It’s like you come onto this planet with a crayon box. Now you may get the 8 pack, you may get the 16 pack but it’s all in what you do with the crayons — the colors — that you’re given. Don’t worry about coloring within the lines or coloring outside the lines – I say color outside the lines, you know what I mean? Color all over the page; don’t box me in! We’re in motion to the ocean. We are not land locked, I’ll tell you that.”
Could it be his message to Nadine, who is celebrated her birthday yesterday?
In any case, his next post has him and Nadine hugging, with a clear message of a happy birthday. Cute!
