Iza Calzado wins Best Performer Award in 2017 Osaka Asian Film Festival

Iza Calzado one again proves that she’s more than just a pretty face after winning the ‘Best Performer Award’ in the 2017 Osaka Asian Film Festival.

Calzado won the prestigious Yakushi Pearl (‘best performer’) Award for her role in the movie ‘Bliss’ by critically acclaimed filmmaker Jerrol Tarog.

“I’m really happy and proud to represent my country, the Philippines,” Calzado said as she accepted the award.

“Special thank you to my parents who are watching above in heaven and I feel their presence,” she adds.

This award is the perfect gift for Calzado’s 15th year in show business.

‘Bliss’ is directed by Jerrold Tarog, who also directed ‘Heneral Luna’ in 2015, and produced by Artikulo Uno.
