Says Iza Calzado, the Guillermo Mendoza box office award for Actress of the Year is such a surprise because she only had five scenes in the movie, Starting Over Again.”
“Not even eight!” she says, “So I never thought I’d actually win for them movie.”
“Nevertheless, she’s thankful to her co-stars Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga and to the film’s director Olivia Lamasan. She also thanked the fans,” notes Joyce Jimenez on Philstar.com.
In the movie, Iza played Piolo’s current girlfriend, Patty whom Toni’s character, Ginny went crazy jealous for. Throwback: Iza’s character was the one who uttered the incredibly unforgettable line “My love is bigger than your failures.” Also: “In love there is no fear.”
Maybe that’s why you won, Iza! Ganda ng mga lines!
