Congrats to the band Itchyworms for being the first Pinoy band to have their very own Viber sticker pack.
Last July 29, Viber launched the Itchyworms: Lost in Space stickers aka #ItchyVibe, through a press con and mini-concert at Route 196.
The band members – Jugs Jugueta, Jazz Nicolas, Chino Singson, and Kelvin Yu – shared that they’re very proud to be the first Pinoy band to get a Viber sticker pack. “It’s really quite surreal,” said Jugs. “We’re just so happy and excited for all the kids and the not-so-kids to start using the #ItchyVibe sticker.”
Why Itchyworms? Viber Philippines Country Manager Crystal Lee explained, “We wanted a Filipino band to work with us on creating a sticker pack for barkadas. Itchyworms fit the brand and the stickers they shared were exactly what we were looking for – something fun that friends will use. They embody the spirit of fun, cool and easygoing.”
The partnership began thanks to Astronaut June Galvez, a fictional character featured on the cover of the band’s latest album After All This Time. It has a cartoon version created by their in-house designer especially for their merchandise. And when they bounced the idea of a collaboration with Viber, the free instant messaging app liked their initial designs so we all know what happened next.
