Hubert Aguas, the son of late actress Isabel Granada, who died of a brain aneurysm in Qatar last Nov. 4, was emotional yesterday at the wake of his mother and shared with reporters that he regretted not spending more time with her.

“After those two weeks, knowing that she’s gone na talaga, it’s very hard to cope. I really have a lot of regrets that we were too far from each other. We don’t really communicate as much. And then I realized that we don’t know what’s going to happen,” Aguas was quoted in ABS-CBN News.

Despite being a known health and fitness enthusiast, Granada, who was in Qatar for a meet and greet with fans, collapsed during a show last Oct. 24. Doctors later found out she had an aneurysm.

“Don’t take your time with your parents for granted. No matter what happens always be with them kasi they were with you since day one. Always enjoy and save every little moment you have with your parents,” Aguas told reporters at the wake.

Hubert is Granada’s son with ex-husband Jericho Genasky Aguas.

“Ma, we’re just here, we love you so much. There’s so much you haven’t told us, we hope you’re happy there with God. Just watch over us,” Aguas said.

Granada’s burial is scheduled for this Sunday at the Sanctuario de San Jose Parish in Greenhills East, where she is interred now.
