Vaccine cards can be used to get everything from discounts to free burgers

Well, it’s not a free trip, but this group of private businesses want to dangle rewards to help encourage Filipinos to get vaccinated.

Ingat Angat, a private-sector initiative that has been campaigning to get the economy up and running again, has gathered dozens of retailers to offer “Bakuna Benefits” for people who can show their vaccine cards.

Vaccine hesitancy has been identified as a problem, with a February 2021 survey by Pulse Asia showing that 6 out of 10 Filipinos did not want to get vaccinated.

All the Bakuna Benefits offers may be viewed on the Ingat Angat website, but here’s a sampler of some of the rewards offered to those who have received their jabs:

• The Moment Group (8 Cuts, Din Tai Fung, Manam, Mo Cookies, Ooma) Free Moment Card Valued at Php500. Customers can enjoy a 10% discount using the Moment Card for a minimum single receipt purchase of P1,000. For dine-in transactions only. 
• Bacolod Chicken Inasal  Free Regular Iced Tea when you order a meal (1 dish and rice) or free Upgrade to Bottomless Iced Tea with every order of Bacolod Chicken Inasal Meals with Drinks! (Sarap Meals, Namit Meals). For dine-in transactions only. 
• Bo’s Coffee Buy two Cold White Brew for the price of 1. For dine-in and take-out transactions only.
• Brotzeit Free one (1) in-house drink for the day with a minimum single receipt purchase of Php 1,000. For dine-in transactions only.
• Burger King Get 10% discount for dine-in transactions.  
• Chowking Get 10% discount for dine-in transactions. 
• Cibo Free one (1) Panna Cotta Mango for a minimum single receipt purchase of P1,500. For dine-in transactions only. 
• Cyma Get 20% discount on single receipt purchases. Allowable maximum discount of Php500. For dine-in transactions only. 
• Four Seasons by Vikings Avail of the 4+1 Promo where one person in a group of 5 gets a free meal. Valid for dine-in transactions only in all operating Viking branches, both lunch and dinner time.
• Goldilocks  Show your vaccination card and get 10% off with P300 single minimum purchase. For dine-in and take-out transactions only.
• Greenwich Get 10% discount for dine-in transactions. 
• Jade Garden Free one (1) bowl of Chilled Mango Sago for a minimum single receipt purchase of Php 1,000. Can be redeemed only once a day via dine-in.
• Jollibee Get 10% discount for dine-in transactions.
• KPub BBQ Free one (1) Chapchae for a minimum single receipt purchase of Php500 for fully vaccinated guests. For dine-in transactions only.
• Macao Imperial Tea Buy One Get One on Black Pearl Milk Tea. For dine-in and take-out transactions.
• Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen Get 20% discount for a single receipt purchase. Must fill out the Bakuna Benefit form (https://forms.gle/eW2n7NkwnSRAR2f37) to redeem the discount. Can only be redeemed twice throughout the promo period subject to validation of the team. For dine-in transactions only. 
• Mamou Free one (1) Key Lime Pie for a minimum single receipt purchase of Php1,500. For dine-in transactions only.
