A very important matter of national interest turned Filipino netizens into social media sleuths.
Leave it to K-pop fans and fans of Filipina actress and model Ellen Adarna, to crowdsource an investigation into whether she hung out with Big Bang member Seungri over the weekend.
People first started sharing this photo of the two.

This is very serious stuff. Fans took the initiative and scoured posts online to verify if it really was Adarna and Seungri. Based on social media posts, it looks like both the actress and the K-pop star were in Bali, Indonesia over the weekend.
On Instagram, Adarna posted a photo in Potato Head Beach Club with rapper Big Sean and her friend Doreen Ting.

While Seungri does not have any photos with Adarna, Ting posted one of her with the singer yesterday.

Ting also posted a video with Seungri which fans, of course, dissected. One post highlighted the similarities between Adarna’s nails and that of a hand that pops up eight seconds into the video.

Apart from the apparent meet up in Bali, Adarna and Seungri also follow each other on Instagram. Adarna is known for being a model and for roles in TV shows like ABS-CBN’s Pasión De Amor, while Seungri’s Big Bang is one of the most popular bands in K-pop.
While it looks like they were definitely both there, we have yet to get a statement from Ellen on whether that was really Seungri in the photo.
