An American university student named Megan Young has not taken kindly to being mistaken on Twitter for the Miss World 2013 champion from the Philippines who shares her name.
The young woman, a student at Quinnipiac University in Rhode Island, has apparently been retweeted over 200 times by the many excited fans celebrating the first Miss World win for the Philippines.
Young’s response? “Dear Asians, I’m not the Megan Young that won miss world 2013 please stop following me.”
That’s not very nice! She should be celebrating her accidental #twitterfame, not being borderline racist.
