Humans of New York (HONY), that popular Facebook page that shares snippets of real people’s life stories will be having two events in Manila tomorrow and you can attend them for free.
Yesterday, the page’s creator Brandon Stanton announced on Facebook that he has decided to cover all the costs of the back-to-back talks he’ll hold at the University of the Philippines Diliman and will give the tickets out for free.

Tickets will be given away starting 8am but you may want to be there earlier because only the first 1,600 people will get to attend the event.
And based on people’s reactions on social media, that queue will be really long. “Humans of New York” was trending on Philippine Twitter, with most people sharing their excitement.

According to Stanton’s post, the talk will focus on HONY’s history but based on its loyal followers, the event also seems like a great way to meet cool and interesting humans of Manila.
HONY started out as a Facebook page where Stanton, a photographer, posted photos of New Yorkers he met in public spaces. Today, the page has grown to have more than 18 million followers. Stanton has also created similar content in other cities around the world, published two HONY books and produced the online video series Humans of New York: The Series.
