These days, 43-year-old comedian Wally Bayola makes the headlines the way he wants to.
His consistent performance in Eat Bulaga’s Kalye Serye as Lola Nidora has finally allowed Wally to overcome and move on from controversies he faced last year. Hello, sex videos — remember?
Wally tells the entertainment press that strangely, Lola Nidora’s character had a hand in helping him get over the hard shit. How? By helping him forget his worries.
“Iniisip ko na lang, ‘O, mamaya ka na. Mamaya na ‘yang emo-emo, ha. Lola [Nidora] muna ako. Kasi ilang oras lang naman ito, e. Pagkatapos ng Lola, ‘O, balik ka ulit. Bahala kang magmukmok diyan sa gilid,'” Wally said.
Apart from the scandal, Wally is facing tough challenges in the family front. His 18-year-old daughter, Rian, has an orbital tumor. She just finished chemotherapy and is now undergoing medication.
In a report on PEP.ph, Wally shared that after two years of medication, it would take at least three more years before Rian could be declared cancer-free.
It hasn’t been easy, but at least Lola Nidora is there. “Mahirap na magkamali ka muna bago ka matuto. Much better na matuto ka nang matuto, nang hindi ka nagkakamali,” he said.
