“Pambansang Bae” Alden Richards is sending fans in a frenzy as he continues teasing about his new album under GMA Records. He signed an exclusive recording contract with them earlier this month.

In an interview with GMA news, Alden says he still attends regular voice lessons after his scenes in Eat Bulaga’s Kalye Serye segment. He also revealed he exercises his “do re mi’s” up and down the scales in the same way as Kapuso singers Kris Lawrence, Mark Bautista and Christian Bautista.

Among the cuts in the much-anticipated album are two original tracks and remakes of classic tunes.

Recording is not new to Alden. In 2013, he actually released a self-titled album under Universal Records. The carrier single off that album, Haplos, is getting a second wind. Not surprising: Alden is more and more popular these days, thanks to #Aldub.

“Hanggang ngayon na-o-overwhelm pa rin ako sa mga nangyayari. Bumabalik yung feeling ko the first time I entered showbiz. Parang every time I wake up tapos makikita ko yung tweets, yung feedback ng tao sa social media,  I’m very thankful po talaga for everything. Sana po tuluy-tuloy lang ang blessings and syempre ang importante sa lahat ay yung mapaalala ko sa sarili kong hindi magbago,” Alden said.

Alden is also one of the hosts of the Sunday noontime show Sunday Pinasaya.
