Herve Chapelier’s newly opened Manila boutique is its first in Southeast Asia

In case you didn’t know, it was Frenchie label Herve Chapelier that revolutionized the gym staple super functional duffel bag into a more fashionable accessory.

That was in 1976, and since then, the brand’s become the stamp of ladylike Parisian substance.

Asia might be a few decades late but finally, Herve Chapelier formally opened in Manila this week at the ground floor of SM Aura. This is the French brand’s first store in Southeast Asia and for its initial season, Herve Chapelier introduces its current collection of cutting-edge carry-alls. There are the camo-print totes, best for when you’re in the city; and because we’re in the tropics, Herve Chapelier also has in tow its vacation-ready lines.
