During the talk show, Angeles talked about what’s been keeping him busy these days: making mini food toys.
You heard that right. It might seem random but the actor has actually always been into art and even studied fine arts at the University of the Philippines.
He said that he was able to focus on art again during his hiatus from showbiz. “Around 2014, I started drawing and painting again,” he said.
Angeles was the winner of the ABS-CBN talent search Star Circe Quest in 2004. He was one of the most popular young stars at that time and was best known for his “love team” with Sandara “Dara” Park, now a K-pop star herself.
But in 2005, he ended his contract with ABS-CBN and appeared in projects of its rival network GMA. He has mostly been away from the public eye since then.
Angeles had guest starred in some TV shows like the GMA anthology series Tadhana but if you stalk his Instagram, you’d see he’s been busy with toy making.
He’ll also be making his ABS-CBN comeback in the upcoming primetime teleserye (soap opera) Love Will Lead You Back.
