Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) is an establishment in Philippine culture. While other international versions of the show are stuck in the shadowy depths of guilty pleasure reality TV shows, PBB has become a legitimate stepping stone for people wanting to enter showbiz.
Case in point: actress Kim Chiu and her love team partner Gerald Anderson. The two met inside the PBB house and were paired off almost immediately. They’ve had several successful TV shows and films and still star as a love team today in the morning drama Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin.
Chiu has been in show business for more than 10 years, and yesterday, she shared photos of where it all started. In a series of Instagram photos, Chiu shared photos of a reunion with her fellow Pinoy Big Brother housemates, most we haven’t seen in years.
“after 11 years here we are, reunited!!! a lot has changed but still our fondness to each other remains the same,” her caption reads.
Here’s how they all look today.
In attendance were seven of 14 former housemates: Mikki Arceo, Nina Jose, Olyn Membian, Joaqui Mendoza, Jamilla Obispo, and Fred Payawan.
According to Chiu’s post, the trip was planned Jose who brought them to the province of Pangasinan where her husband is a mayor.
Chiu won the PBB: Teen Edition in 2006. Other housemates in the “Big Four” were Anderson, Mikee Lee, Clare Cabiguin.
