The upcoming film Crazy Rich Asians may be completely fictional but this new video from fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar reminds us peasants that there really are people in our neck of the woods that are insanely wealthy.

While the movie and the book it was based on do not have any major Filipino characters, the Harper’s Bazaar video released yesterday features Filipino actress and painter Heart Evangelista.

In the more than 6-minute feature, Evangelista can be seen wearing couture during Paris Fashion Week and rubbing elbows with Hong Kong “it girl” Feiping Chang and Malaysian heiresses Rachel and Michelle Yeoh.

There are diamonds, sparkling rosé, and haute couture runway shows — and yes, it’s just as extravagant as it sounds.

In it, Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan calls Evangelista “the darling of the Philippines” and talks about her customized Birkin bags, which she hand paints herself.

Apparently, Evangelista first got the idea to paint her Hermes bag after she accidentally stained it with cheese while eating french fries at Chilis — ah, celebrities, they’re just like us!

In an Instagram post today, Evangelista shared that she also appears on the Sept. issue of the Harper’s Bazaar magazine. The feature is also available on the magazine’s website.

Evangelista (Born Love Marie Ongpauco) first got her start as an actress when she was a teenager but is now one of the more popular social media influencers in the Philippines, currently with 2.4 million followers.

She’s part of the Ongpauco family which owns the successful chain of Barrio Fiesta restaurants and is married to Philippine Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

Crazy Rich Asians is out in United States theaters today but will premiere in the Philippines on Aug. 22.
