Is there anything that Heart Evangelista cannot do?
The actress, high-profile fiancee and artist will be in Singapore on January 9, Friday, to open her third solo exhibition, Love Marie, at Chan Hampe Galleries.
The gallery is at the historic and all-white Raffles Hotel Arcade, a perfect backdrop for Love Marie Ongpauco’s captivating color bursts. There are six works on display.
Painting has always been a passion of Heart, even as a young child, but it was only in her later years that she was able to sum up the confidence to show her works to the public.
According to the press release, “Yes, she encountered struggles and difficulties along the way, even throughout her career, but it was through her paintings that she felt free and was really able to express her thoughts and feelings in the best way possible.”
The three-day exhibition is presented by Cream Silk hair conditioner (Heart has been its endorser for 16 years now) taking its #BeyondBeautiful “campaign further by celebrating the World Class Filipina — acknowledging her beauty and talents as worthy for the World Stage.”
Prior to Love Marie, Heart held her debut exhibition in May, 2014, at Ayala Museum’s ArtistSpace gallery room, followed months later by another show at Galerie Joaquin in San Juan.
Heart is set to get married to senator Chiz Escudero on Feb 15 at the pricey, members-only Balesin Island Club in Quezon, where the couple intend to invite only 100 guests. A bigger reception will be held the next day for friends from the entertainment and political world.
Love Marie runs from Jan 8-10 at Chan Hampe Galleries (Raffles Hotel Arcade #01-02, 328 North Bridge Road, Singapore)
