Better get in line, Hamil-fans: after an exclusive booking period for certain credit card holders, followed by another sale for fans on the waitlist, tickets to the highly anticipated Manila run of the Tony-winning musical Hamilton are finally available for the general public.

Tickets range from PHP2,643 to PHP8,993 on TicketWorld, depending on the day of the week and time.

Hamilton, a retelling of the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, took home 11 awards, including Best Musical, at the 70th Tony Awards, and proceeded to win at the Oliviers in the UK, the Grammys, and even a Pulitzer Prize.

Its Manila run will be the Asian premiere of the Hamilton international tour, which opened in Auckland, New Zealand in March.

Creator and star Lin Manuel-Miranda made the announcement that Hamilton was coming to Manila through a video.

“Kamusta Pilipinas! I am so excited to officially announce that Hamilton will be making its Asian premiere in the Philippines,” he said.

Manuel-Miranda cited the various Filipino cast members that have been part of the stage musical, which is known for its diverse casting.

“We’ve had so many incredible Filipino company members part of the Hamilton pamilya all over the world, and now we get to bring the show to your beautiful country very soon,” he added.

Some of the most notable Filipino actors that have graced the Hamilton stage include pop star-turned-West End actress Rachelle Ann Go, who played Eliza Hamilton, Filipino-British thespian Christine Allado, who played Peggy Hamilton and Maria Reynolds, as well as Filipino-American actor Marc dela Cruz, who assumed the titular role of Alexander Hamilton — which Manuel-Miranda originated onstage.

Hamilton in Manila will open on September 17 at The Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City.
