Half-human, half-snake: from Robinsons to the big screen!

Remember that chismis back in the ‘80s/‘90s about Robinsons Galleria hiding a half-snake, half-human that abducted pretty women inside fitting rooms, and then raped/ate them??? The rumor was that he was the twin brother of Robina Gokongwei, daughter of the mall’s founder, John Gokongwei, Jr.

There was even this story that Alice Dixson was a victim, but that she escaped because the half-human, half-snake fell in love with her. Chismis is that Alice was forced to spread those stories to revive her showbiz career, although some said that she was paid by the Gokongweis to shut up.

Now ‘80s/‘90s kids are going to have a blast watching the popular Robinsons snake-man onscreen – well, kind of. Shake, Rattle & Roll is making a comeback at this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, and one of the stories will be inspired by – you guessed it right – the Robinsons snake-man.

The bad news is that the episode, which has the working title “Ahas,” won’t be based on the urband legend. Boo!

We’re not even getting a man. Portraying the half-human, half-snake is Erich Gonzales.

Oh well.
