Julia Barretto celebrated her 18th birthday at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel Ballroom yesterday, March 10, 2015, and aunt Gretchen Barretto and cousin Dominique Cojuangco were absent.
The chismis is that Gretchen is not in good terms with Marjorie Barretto, Julia’s mom, but that Julia and Dominique remain to be close friends.
In fact, Dominique posted a throwback photo of the two of them yesterday, with the caption “Life can be tough, but it can be great too. [Here’s] to trudge and fly through it hand in hand with you, just like in this photo.”
Dominique wasn’t at her cousin’s party because her second term of school has not yet ended. She tweeted that they’d spoken about it and that Julia understands.
Gretchen incidentally is with her daughter Dominique in London, so she wasn’t able to attend the party yesterday.
