Gerphil Flores, who finished third place in the recently concluded Asia’s Got Talent was a contestant on Pilipinas Got Talent. Back then she was known as Fame Flores, and both Ai-ai and Kris voted for her rival, so she didn’t get far. Kris suggested for her to sing age-appropriate songs while Ai-ai agreed that the singer should choose songs that bagets could relate to.
When Gerphil ended up third place, or even when she just got in the show, people started criticizing Kris and Ai-ai for not seeing the promise in the singer and for not making her win the local talent show.
In an interview with James Patrick Anarcon of Pep.ph, Gerphil said that she has no sama ng loob for Kris and Ai-ai. In fact, she shared that being on Pilipinas Got Talent did her good. “Napaka-memorable at talagang ang dami kong natutunan dun,” she said.
Gerphil also considers losing in the local show as a blessing in disguise. “Malamang kung naging successful po ako sa Pilipinas Got Talent, baka hindi na po ako naka-join sa Asia’s Got Talent.
