Fresh Prince progeny Jaden Smith, aka Erys, is coming to Manila

Jaden Smith, best know as “Erys” if you’re young enough, or “Will Smith’s kid” if you’re anything like us, is coming to Manila this Oct. 23,and will be performing at XYLO at the Palace in Uptown Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The younger Smith has come a long way since his acting stints alongside his father in breakout films 2006’s Pursuit of Happyness, 2010’s Karate Kid, and 2013’s  After Earth.

The 21-year-old rapper/songwriter is known for his hip-hop and trap music beats, showcasing them in his 2017 album Syre (which comes from his full name Jaden Christopher Syre Smith).

He released a follow-up album, Erys (which he now scribbles on his body and hoodies) in July of this year. Expect hits like Again, Watch Me, and Icon at Taguig’s premier clubbing spot.

On Twitter, fans appear to be already hyperventilating.

User @statejaaam wrote, “Jaden Smith live in Manila? Where’s the concept photo? …Can y’all let me breathe the fuck”

Another user, @maxinealec pleaded “What? Jaden Smith in Manila? Can we go get Willow too? Huhuhuhu”

Making the show a family affair seems to be a theme, with @zjmcevans confessing, “I low-key wanna go to Jaden Smith’s concert here in Manila because I wanna see Will Smith (I just feel like he’s going to be here)”

But the bottom line for @moeshalemon at least, is “Jaden Smith in Manila son of a b*tch”

Tickets start at PHP2,000 (US$38) and are available on Eventix website, or via table reservations at XYLO at The Palace Manila.
