The Philippines has a new singing champ.

Yesterday, Star World aired the finale of reality singing competition Bolt of Talent where 22-year-old Lance Busa from Butuan City in Mindanao took home the grand prize.

The show is a talent search that had Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Michael Bolton scout talents from four countries in Asia.

In the show’s last episode, Busa sang How Am I Supposed To Live Without You (written by Bolton and Doug James) and beat out Mild Nawin from Thailand.

The two competed against six other contestants from the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan.

The other Filipino contestant was 28-year-old Hans Dimayuga who was previously a contestant on The Voice of the Philippines.

As the winner of the competition, Busa will receive a record deal, become a brand ambassador for Subaru, and perform as the opening act in Bolton’s Asia Tour which will come to Manila in November.

Busa’s finale performance is not yet available on Star World’s YouTube channel but you can listen to Lance cover Drake’s Hotline Bling from this Facebook video he uploaded in 2015.
