Bring out your Philippine flags folks! Two Filipino acts have made it to the finals of Asia’s Got Talent.
The show announced yesterday that hand shadow artist Shadow Ace, whose real name is Philip Galit, is onto the finals after public voting. It was also yesterday that the show announced that dance group Junior Good Vibes was sent directly to the finals by the judges after their semi-finals performance.
Shadow Ace raved about his win in a Facebook post yesterday.
“With the power of the lord and with your unending support and help, I am now a grand finalist on Asia’s Got Talent 3!”
He thanked everyone and said: “I owe this all to you. I just used to dream of this and now it has come true. Join me as I compete representing our homeland!”
Shadow Ace performed in the semi-finals with his parents and they performed a routine that included representations of judges Jay Park, Anggun, and David Foster.
The three judges appeared to have enjoyed watching it because they were all laughing. Foster even said he loved it.

Meanwhile, his compatriots Junior Good Vibes performed a routine which Park described as “almost flawless.”
The group dedicated it to their family and fellow members who weren’t able to join them in the competition. For their performance, they were chosen as the Judges Pick, which sent them straight to the finals without undergoing public voting.

Their advancement to the next round means Shadow Ace and Junior Good Vibes stand a chance to win the grand prize of US$100,000 (PHP5.258 million)
And it’s quite likely that they will be joined by another Pinoy talent.
Ten-year-old singer Eleana Gabunada’s semi-finals performance of “Defying Gravity” from the musical Wicked was so good that it got a standing ovation from the audience and judges. She is now waiting for the results of the audience’s voting.
