Two Filipino fashion designers dressed up finalists of the recently concluded Miss USA.
Rocky Gathercole dolled up fourth runner-up Miss Maryland Mame Adjei in an elegant black gown, which got a better impression than the other gown that she wore — you know, that one that made her shine like a bright diamond.
Joey Galon, meanwhile, made his dream come true of seeing his designs in a pageant when Miss Nevada wore his beautiful platinum silver creation.
“”Rocky and I met on the set of America’s Next Top Model and he was gracious enough to offer to make me a dress for Miss USA when he heard that I was a beauty queen and of course I said yeah!” Adjei was quoted in an ABS CBNnews.com report.
Gathercole is based in Metro Manila and Los Angeles. He has had the pleasure of working with big Hollywood names like, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez.
Joey Galon, meanwhile lovingly applied the 2,000 Swarovski crystals onto the platinum silver grown that made Miss Nevada look like a present-day princess.
You know what detail will floor you, though? The fact that he pulled it all off in three short days.

EDIT: We changed the second paragraph after Rocky Gathercole corrected our mistake on social media. We erronously credited to him the yellow dress that Miss Maryland wore. He designed the elegant black dress NOT the yellow one as previously reported. We apologize to Mr Gathercole and thank him for calling us out.
