It’s not easy being famous, especially when people hound you both online and offline.

This is a reality for Filipino actress Andi Eigenmann shed light on yesterday after being criticized on Instagram. In a comment, she announced and explained why she decided to quit showbiz.

The online confrontation seems to have started from a comment by Instagram user @gfcute88 that said: “It turns out Andie is not nice. My sister asked her for a picture in the airport and apparently, she just raised her eyebrow.”

Eigenmann replied to the accusation but tagged a different Instagram user and said: “ma’am, before you comment such an accusation on my instagram page, i hope you realise that I am a human being too, just as your sister is, and while she mustve just been thinking about herself and her own feelings as she wanted to snap a photo w me, she probably didnt think that MAYBE just MAYBE, i do not walk this earth simply to please her nor you….”

In a separate comment, the actress said that she does not snub people but politely tells off those that are being rude. “…if I wanted the life I had in the past, I wouldnt have left showbiz,” she continued.

She said she decided to be a full-time mom to her 5-year-old daughter Ellie.

“I left because I was not happy. And yes! It will never be the same. BUT I WOULDNT TRADE THIS SIMPLE LIFE FOR ANYTHING ELSE BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER,” the comment reads.

Eigenmann comes from a family of actors. She is the daughter of actors Mark Gil and Jaclyn Jose and is the granddaughter of actors Eddie Mesa and Rosemarie Gil.

Eigenmann’s last acting project was the ABS-CBN teleserye (soap opera) The Greatest Love that ended earlier this year. Before that, she starred in the comedy Camp Sawi and the critically acclaimed Ma’Rosa, which earned her mother a Best Actress award at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
