After months of chasing her K-pop dreams, the spotlight is now on Filipino-American teen Kriesha Chu, who just released the official music video for her debut single “Trouble.”

No question about it, Chu’s got the signature looks and charm of a K-pop star. Her new song showcases her dance moves and powerful vocals, too.

Chu, who originally hails from Cebu, made it to the finals of Korea’s reality contest K-Pop Star 6: The Last Chance.

The 19-year-old performer was eliminated on the show’s 12th episode, but she was asked to return when the judges used a wild card… and the rest is history.

Chu’s debut album is now available on online music sites.

Apart from the title track “Trouble,” it also contains a pop R&B song called “I Want It To Be You.”

Chu is officially the first Filipina to debut as a K-pop star. But of course, the sensational Dara, who started her career in the Philippines will always have a special spot in the hearts of Pinoy K-pop fans.
