The hit song “Let It Go” from the blockbuster movie Frozen won Best Song at the 86th Academy Awards. That was no surprise. What’s surprising for a lot of people is that a Fil-Am composer (Robert Lopez) and his wife (Kristen Anderson Lopez) are behind it. Robert dedicated his win to fellow Pinoys. He told ABS-CBN North America after accepting the award, “Thanks, Filipinos! Pinoy pride!” adding that he wants others to know that “it doesn’t matter what you look like, doesn’t matter where you’re from, if you work hard and pursue your dream, it can happen.”
They also said that they will hold a benefit show for Yolanda victims this month.
Robert, according to Wikipedia, is an “American songwriter of musicals, best known for co-creating The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q, and for penning the songs in the Disney film Frozen. He is one of only twelve people who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award, and the only person to win all four within a decade.” Goosebumps!!!
At dahil dyan…
