ABS-CBN’s offbeat weatherman and TV personality Kim Atienza — more popularly known as Kuya Kim — shared on Instagram on Sunday how grateful he was that his wife, Felicia Atienza, escaped unscathed after the Range Rover she was driving unexpectedly caught fire.
“Thank you Lord @feliciaatienza wasn’t hurt on her birthday!” Kuya Kim wrote. Though he didn’t explain why the SUV caught fire, he also bid adieu to the “car that served us well.”
Kuya Kim also quoted (as Pinoys are wont to do) a Biblical passage in light of the disaster: “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Unlike Felicia, the Range Rover was left looking much the worse for wear, as seen from the photo below.

Meanwhile, colleagues and fellow celebs were quick to offer messages of support for Kuya Kim’s wife of 18 years.

Felicia, a Taiwanese-Filipino former stockbroker who graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, married Kuya Kim in 2002.
Over the years, she’s had her share of the spotlight, especially as a fitness and wildlife advocate, causes she shares with her husband.
