Did you know that music streaming app Spotify has a project called “First Song”? It’s their do-gooder campaign, done in partnership with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, where they try and help hearing-impaired people by giving them hearing aids.
They launched the project in November 2014, the same month when the Spotify and Starkey Hearing Foundation went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan to give hearing aids to a hundred of deaf people.
The stories of three people, who were among those who received the hearing aids, were documented in this teary four-minute film, which we found on advertising industry website adobomagazine.com. The film was directed by Night Agency and Tool Production Company director Alec Helm.
According to adobomagazine.com, Project First Song has already reached 900 people in the Philippines. For every USD$100 donation, one person receives hearing care.
