Star Wars fans can now feel the Force from beneath their bums.

Internationally-recognized furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue yesterday launched his Star Wars line of furniture at his showroom in Makati City. The furniture was created in collaboration with Disney, the studio which now owns the blockbuster franchise.

Cobonpue, whose clients includes Queen Sophia of Spain and Brad Pitt, created three easy armchairs, a rocking stool, and a hanging lamp — all of which were inspired by the iconic movies.

Vader

Cobonpue’s take on the saga’s great villain/ultimately sacrificing papa: an easy armchair that comes with a foldable swivel table and an open-weave canopy. Its seat cushion — said to be carefully stitched — resembles Darth Vader’s mask. Sit here if you’re planning to dominate the world.

Chewie

A rocking stool, Chewie comes with a fabric belt that was inspired by Chewbacca’s trademark bandolier. Its microfiber strips are colored brown (naturally), similar to the Wookiee warrior’s wonderful fur.

Little Jedi

A hanging lamp made of steel and salago fiber, Little Jedi is composed of several Jedi Knights battling a Sith Lord. The illumination comes from the lightsabers which the Knights are holding. It makes for a cool, seamless combination of design and storytelling, and a pretty kickass way to simultaneously show your fandom and furnish your house.

Sidious

Inspired by the Dark Lord of the Sith, this easy armchair comes with a raised backrest that somewhat resembles the character’s hood. Its legs are curved forward, which gives it a distinctive, easily identifiable structure (well, easily identifiable by the Star Wars stans among us, anyway).

Imperial Wings

This easy armchair, inspired by the TIE fighter air crafts, is made of handwoven polyethylene — and it’s where we’ll be sitting as we  daydream of conquering the universe.
