Manila’s most stylish didn’t mind the hot, humid weather last March 13. They all trooped to the Bonifacio High Street Central Ampitheater in Taguig — dressed to the nines, of course — to view fashion brand Mango’s Spring/Summer 2013 collections.
Called “Mango Magnified,” the catwalk and cocktails party had style bloggers, fashionistas and celebs like Michelle Madrigal, Arci Munoz and Miriam Quiambao checking out various pieces from the brand.
Opening the show was Mango Touch, the brand’s line of accessories, which featured tribal patterns and gypsy-inspired pieces.
It was followed by H.E. by Mango. Standouts from the classic and urban menswear collection were preppy checks and stripes shirts, cotton washed trenches and jersey varsity jackets.
Capping off the show was a three-part style segment by Mango. The first one featured elements like crochets, guipures and laces using a tropical color palette of menthol, pink and peach. The second was all about ocean motifs in prints, using vibrant shades of aqua, blue and yellow. Lastly, natural fabrics and a lot of whites with gold were in the spotlight.
Apart from the fashion show, which featured catwalk favorites Ria Bolivar, Jasmine Maierhofer and Brent Javier, there was music by the amazing Synima, and food from Bizu and Tous Les Jours. The new look of the Mango RCBC – Bankard MasterCard was also unveiled.
In 2012, Mango Philippines opened seven new stores and launched H.E by Mango and Mango Touch. This year, there are already four new stores — with four more set to open in the next three months.
