M Barretto celebrates 10 years with edgy collection

Congratulations to talented menswear designer M Barretto for recently celebrating 10 years in the industry!

To mark this milestone, he revealed his latest collection through the Prive Style Series. Held at the prive Luxury Club, it kicked off with a fashion film called “Dominium,” which was made for the show by director Sa Maristela and stylist Gerick Ortiz.

Afterwards, the clothes were presented, with the help of DJ Funk Avy and Atticus King on live guitars. For this particular capsule collection, the designer veered away from the expected prints and colors, and instead went for a palette composed of black, white and gray. M Barretto also made use of utilitarian silhouettes, producing clothes that are brooding yet still chic.

Participating in the fashion show was an assortment of hunks, from models Hideo Muraoka, Daniel Matsunaga and Manhunt International winner June Macasaet, to GMA 7 actors Dion Ignacio and Enzo Pineda.

Before the event started, Enzo, who was clad in ebony keans, graphic black shirt and a black bomber jacket, shared how much he likes the designer. “M’s both a great designer and a talented tailor,” he said. “His clothes always fit perfectly, and they’re always flattering.”

Dion also had nothing but good words for the designer. “I really love M’s work, and his sense of style,” said the actor, who looked dapper in a black coat with a silver sheen on top that night. “I hope to be wearing more of his clothes in the future.”
