Family first: Camille Prats willing to quit showbiz after wedding

Camille Prats knows her priorities.

In an interview with Ricky Lo of The Philippine Star, the GMA actress said she is ready to leave showbiz after tying the knot with fiance VJ Yambao.

“I’m not afraid of change; it’s something that I actually look forward to. (I feel), if it’s going to be us, at feeling ko naman na magwo-work (and I feel it will work), maybe I’d consider it,” she said.

Why the need to leave her career? VJ is actually based in the US, which means the couple is consider relocating there once they have wed. The wedding is set on Jan 2017.

The wedding comes five years after Camille’s first husband Anthony Linsangan died due to cancer. They have a son, Nathan, who the actress said her husband-to-be treats like his own.

“I’ve become used to leading a very public life here,” Camille said. “Like when I go out, people recognize me and I just have to always smile and be accommodating kasi it’s part of who I am. I must confess that I’m curious about how life in the US is like, so living there really crosses my mind.”

Camille said she and VJ have not decided on the matter of where to settle down after the wedding. The decision will like come after their honeymoon in Europe.
