ER Ejercito says he’s not sore about losing in Star Awards

Really? Not even a little bit?

“Actor-politician ER Ejercito on Wednesday, Mar 12, said he does not harbor ill feelings toward the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) amid rumors that the Star Awards for Movies was rigged,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Just recently, entertainment reporter Jobert Sucaldito, who also works as Ejercito’s public relations person, alleged that comedian Vice Ganda’s Best Actor win for the movie Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy, was paid for and backed by a member of the organization. Both the PMPC and the comedian has dismissed Sucaldito’s allegations.

Despite this controversy, Ejercito—who was also in the running for the same PMPC award for his work in the movie, Boy Golden—said, “Mahal ko ang PMPC, mahal ko ang lahat ng media. Kaya nga taon-taon binibigyan ko sila ng Christmas party. Mahal ko ang pelikulang Pilipino, mahal ko ang entertainment press. Mabuhay ang PMPC (I love the PMPC, I love everyone in the media. This is why I throw a Christmas Party for them every year. I love Filipino movies, I love the entertainment press. Long live the PMPC).”

However, Ejercito also said that he respects Sucaldito’s right to call out what he thinks are wrong practices in the industry.
