Paul Soriano admitted on the Feb 1, 2015 episode of The Buzz that he and girlfriend Toni Gonzaga are already engaged. The director shared that he actually proposed to the actress last Jan 21, when she least expected it.
“It was right after her birthday,” he said. “It was like 12:30am, January 21. We had just come from a birthday dinner and I had the ring in my pocket the whole dinner. I just wanted to wait for the right private moment. It happened in her home, just very simple. She was in her pantulog already.”
He added that he first talked with Toni’s parents and even showed them the ring. The mom said that it was about time, while the dad gave his blessing by asking him, “Why are you asking me? Ask her!”
Paul shared that apart from Toni’s parents, her sister Alex was also there to witness the proposal. He also said that he wasn’t even done asking her to marry him yet when she already said yes.
The two, who have been together for seven and a half years, plan to get married this year.
