But it looks like her showbiz career will slow down now because she finally admitted that she is pregnant. In the April 11, 2015 episode of StarTalk, Empress told host Jennylyn Mercado that she is three months pregnant. The 21-year-old also revealed the identity of her boyfriend, the father of the baby she is carrying: model Vino Guingona, who is the grandson of former vice president Teofisto Guingona.
She shared on the show that she cried a lot because of the news and even broke down because she didn’t know how to break the news to her parents.
Empress shared that Vino and her manager Becky Aguila were with her when she decided to tell her parents about the baby. “Siyempre nagalit siya, na-disappoint siya,” she said, adding that her mother was okay after pouring out her emotions.
The two have no plans to get married yet because they are focused on the baby. Empress would also want to go back to showbiz after giving birth.
