Failed to catch “Ekstra,” the Cinemalaya entry which bagged several awards at the 9th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival?
Don’t worry. It will hit theaters nationwide next week, Aug. 14.
Not only is it a great film, basing on all the awards it won during the film fest, such as Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Special Jury Prize, and Audience Choice, it also shows a very different Vilma Santos. In the movie, the Star For All Seasons plays an ekstra who endures all the challenges and hardships of being an ekstra all for the love of acting. Interesting, right? Not convinced?
