‘Ekstra’ and other winners at 48th Worldfest Houston International Film Festival

Congrats to all the Philippine representatives that won at the 48th WorldFest Houston International Film Festival held in Texas, USA last April 19, 2015.
 
The biggest winner has got to be the indie movie Vilma Santos-starrer and Jeffrey Jeturian-directed Ekstra, which bagged the Best Foreign Feature Film Award, plus the Platinum Remi Award in the comedy category.
 
Joel Lamangan’s Kamkam won the Gold Award in the Mature Theme category, Perci Intalan’s Dementia won the Gold Award in the Fantasy/Horror category, Louie Ignacio’s Asintado won a Gold Award in the Children’s category, and Jake Vargas got the Best Rising Star award for his performance in the movie Asintado.
 
Congrats to all the brilliant Pinoy artists who are definitely doing the country proud!
